Where we discuss herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or fertilisers, the approved product label is the authority, not this Site. In Australia, agricultural and home-garden chemical products are registered by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, and the approved label carries legal force. Always read the current label on the product you actually hold, follow its rates, directions, protective equipment requirements and safety warnings, and confirm the product is suitable for your grass type before you apply anything. Product registrations, formulations and label directions change, and a product that is safe on one lawn variety can damage another.
Local Rules Vary
Mowing and power-tool noise hours, water restrictions and rostered watering days, declared and noxious weed obligations and green waste rules are all set locally, by your state, your local council or your water authority. When to Get Professional Help
Some jobs need a qualified person. Use a licensed contractor for electrical work, irrigation connected to mains water, tree removal, retaining structures, and any commercial chemical application that requires a licence. If you are unsure whether a job needs a professional, assume it does.
